  • SparkleBerry Craft Paper
  • Mod Podge
  • Scissors
  • Baby Wipes
  • Foam Brush
  • Acrylic Paint - White
  • Wood Pumpkins-unfiinished (Elizabeth's are from Target)
  • Sanding block
  • Twine or ribbon for embellishment

Start by painting the edges of the wood with the white acrylic paint, using baby wipes as your "paintbrush." Baby wipe painting allows you to create a thin layer that will dry quickly. The thin layer also allows for the natural wood to "peek" through, creating a trendy, distressed, farmhouse look.

Once you've painted your edges, allow it to dry for a few minutes. Next, you'll trace both sides of the pumpkin. After tracing the first side, flip the pumpkin and trace the other side. This will ensure the pattern side of the paper will show on both the front and back of the pumpkin.

After you have traced the pumpkin, use your scissors to cut the traced shapes.

Tip: Cut on the inside of the pumpkin shape so the paper pumpkin does not hang over the edges of the wood.

Using Mod Podge and a foam brush paint a thin coat onto the surface of the wood and the back of the paper pumpkin. Repeat for both sides of the pumpkin. Place the matching paper pumpkin, pattern side up, onto the wood. Rub your hands or a paper towel over the front of the paper, to create a smooth surface.

Next, you will take your sanding block and sand the edges of the wood and paper, removing any paper that is hanging over the edge of the wood pumpkin.

Once you've sanded the edges, paint an additional thin layer of Mod Podge on top of the finished pumpkin to protect the beautiful paper from normal wear and tear. This will also give it a gorgeous polished finish!

Take your twine and wrap 2-3 times around the stem of the pumpkin. Tie a bow to secure the twine or ribbon. Trim the length with scissors.

Repeat this for the number of wood pumpkins you'd like to display. The SparkleBerry Craft Paper in your Craft Kit has several coordinating patterns to ensure your pumpkins match beautifully.

Once you are finished, display the pumpkins together in your home and wait for the compliments to roll in! Everyone will be so impressed when you say, "I made it!"
