Door Hangers are a perfect way to decorate your door for Easter!

Step 1: Prep Work

First, paint your entire wood egg with 2-3 thin coats of white paint. Allow to dry

Step 2: Cutting Your Design

Using your cutting machine software, set your art board size to 12x12. Center the "Happy Easter - Banner" design on your art board to the middle. This will ensure you have enough room on all sides to cover the front of your egg with the design in the center.

Place your patterned adhesive onto your mat and cut the offset of the design only.

Weed the offset of the design and place the vinyl to the side.

Next, cut the text of the design out of your solid sheet of vinyl. (Solid colors are best for text that is script or not simple block font.)

Weed your design and place the vinyl to the side.

Step 3: Applying Vinyl

Option 1: Place your patterned vinyl with the offset cut out pretty side up on a flat surface. Lay your wood egg in the center of the vinyl and lightly trace with your pencil on the front of the vinyl.

Next, cut the traced egg with scissors.

Option 2: Mask the entire sheet of patterned vinyl with your Siser Application Tape. Peel off the backer and place the whole sheet of vinyl onto the front of the egg. Carefully peel your application tape away and place back on the backer for future use.

Carefully flip the egg and vinyl over and cut with scissors or an Xacto knife around the perimeter of the egg. Trim any edges that are hanging over.

Next, apply the solid vinyl design inside the offset of the egg.

Step 4: Attaching hanging wire

On the back of your egg, apply a generous dot of hot glue and hold the hanging wire (15"-20") on the left and right side.

Finally, apply ribbon or a floral embellishment. Allow the hot glue to cure for 24 hours before hanging on your door.

I'm super excited to see everyone's door decorated this Easter season! Make sure to post pics and tag us so we can see your creation! <3
